Neha: No one can play a gangster better than Vivek
KYAA SUPER KOOL HAIN HUM girl Neha Sharma, who would next be seen in JAYANTABHAI KI LUV STORY, is happy to be seen in her first ever romcom. She is all the more confident about the prospects of the film since it features her co-star Vivek Oberoi in the part of a gangster, a kind of characterisation that he has pretty much made as his own ever since the days of COMPANY.
"When you see Vivek in the part of a gangster, it lends beauty to an overall affair. I don't think anyone else can play such a part better than him. In fact in such a role, no one can touch him. I am sure audience will be excited to see him in that role," says Neha who had made her debut opposite Emraan Hashmi in CROOK.
While one can see a crackling chemistry between Neha and Vivek for JAYANTABHAI KI LUV STORY, the pretty girl says that it is due to the intrinsic beauty that the film carries which has made it all possible.
"When you sign a film, you don't know whether your chemistry is going to work or not. Of course when you start shooting you realise that things have started to fall in place," says Neha, "I am sure Vivek too enjoyed the entire experience since after SAATHIYA, this is his only true blue romantic film. I have got calls from so many fans and friends that after SAATHIYA, this is one Vivek film that they are really looking forward to catching on screens."
Personally too Neha was happy to be playing the part of Simran.
"I could relate a lot to Simran since the characterisation of an independent modern day girl is something that is quite close to me in real life as well. In fact my director (Vinnil Markan) used to tell me that Simran is very much like me so all I had to do was just play myself. This is the reason why it all became quite easy for me as well," she smiles.
With music by Sachin-Jigar, JAYANTABHAI KI LUV STORY is a Kumar Taurani production that releases all over this Friday.
