Rimi Sen: I will not do any item numbers
Its been a couple of years since the highly talented and traditional Bong beauty, actress Rimi Sen was last seen on the silver screen in THANK YOU.
After having worked in many hit and commercial movies like BAGHBAAN, GOLMAAL, GARAM MASALA, PHIR HERA PHERI and DHOOM series Rimi Sen had almost reached the pinnacle of her career but since she wanted to do some meaningful and impactful work, Rimi became more choosy.
We caught up with Rimi and asked her why it is taking her so long to make a comeback and she replied, "I am in no hurry as I am waiting for the right script, a good story which should excite me. " We queried her as to why she is not even seen in any item numbers as is the norm these days with many front line actresses making their presence felt through popular dance numbers, and she replied forthrightly, "No, I do not like to perform item numbers, and I will not do any item numbers in future, just to keep myself in circulation."
She however did say that she is not averse to the idiot box and may consider doing television if she is given a good opportunity.
Well, we do hope for the sake of all her fans, and especially those who enjoy class acting, that Rimi does get a good enough offer that will excite her so that we see more of such a hugely talented actress.
