Saif Ali Khan decides not to work with Kareena for now
As his first film of the year, RACE 2, is on the threshold of the prestigious 100 crore club, like a perfect actor, Saif Ali Khan, has already immersed himself fully in the character of his next project, the much talked about Tigmanshu Dhulia directed, BULLET RAJA. It will be the second film after the much critically acclaimed 'Langda Tyagi' character of OMKARA where Saif Ali Khan will be seen donning a totally 'desi' avatar.
Talking (to the vernacular press) about his preparations for BULLET RAJA Saif says, "I have lost a lot for weight for the film which I had gained after attending parties following my marriage. Tigmanshu took me out of the social circle of Mumbai and Pataudi and now I am totally immersed in the Lucknow 'mahaul' (atmosphere). I am working very hard on my 'desi' lingo, the accent, the clothes and body language."
When asked about the failure of his on screen pairing with his better half, Kareena Kapoor, Saif had a very interesting take. Says Saif, "I think that the comfort level that we share is proving to be detrimental as far as our films are concerned. Since we know each other so well it becomes that very difficult for us to get into the skin of our characters, but this problem does not arise when we are paired opposite actors we do not know well or are strangers. So I feel that it will be very difficult for us to give any hit film together, and so I have decided not to work with Kareena (the actress) for now."
Well, what can we say except that the duo are definitely one of the best actor-actress couple of recent times (after Amitabh-Jaya) and it would indeed be a loss for all Saifeena fans who love to see them together, if that happens!
