Ang Lee's 'Life of Pi' to release in India first

It will release in other parts of the world in December.
'Life of Pi' is based on Yann Martel's book of the same name.
The book has sold over seven million copies worldwide and continues to sell over 1,000 copies per week. It has also won the prestigious Mann Booker Prize and was named New York Times bestseller for over a year.
The story of "Life of Pi" tells the tale of a young boy named Pi, who is the only person to survive the sinking a cargo ship. He finds himself on a lifeboat with a hyena, a zebra, an orangutan, and a Bengal tiger.
The Fox Star Studios' film will see 17-year-old Indian boy Suraj Sharma making his acting debut in the role of Pi. It has been shot in 3D format.
