Ashley Greene replaces Anna Kendrick in film
Los Angeles: Actress Ashley Greene has replaced her 'Twilight' co-star Anna Kendrick in Zach Braff's new movie 'Wish I Was Here' after the latter dropped out due to date problems.
Kendrick was slated to star in Braff's 'Wish I Was Here' with actors Kate Hudson, Mandy Patinkin, Jim Parsons and Donald Faison, but had to pull out due to other filming commitments.
In an email to the movie's online backers, sent out on July 16, Braff revealed that Greene has been brought in as a replacement, reports contactmusic.
"Well, since you're having your first shot as being (a) movie producer, it's time you experience something that happens a lot: Scheduling conflicts," he said in the mail.
"We've tried our hardest, but we've been unable to figure out the lovely Anna Kendrick's scheduling conflicts with another movie she's doing... You may know Ashley from Twilight. I've known Ashley for a couple years now and I'm so excited she's accepted my invitation to join our Kickstarter Klub (sic).
"Not only is Ashley gorgeous and charming, but she is hilarious, a very good actress and normal and cool and we are so lucky to have her," he wrote.
Braff used crowd-funding website kickstarter.com to raise $3.1 million in donations to make the film, which is a sequel to his 2004 movie 'Garden State'.
