"I would like to break the hands and mouth of the person who came up with it," The Sun quoted Pattinson as saying.
The 26-year-old is also bemused by fans dividing themselves into camps of his character Edward Cullen and ‘Twilight’ co-star Taylor Launter's character Jacob.
"It's making it like a sport or something. People can't really watch the films any more... they're thinking about all this other silliness," he said.
The actor will be seen in ‘Breaking Dawn 2’, the final movie of the ‘Twilight’ franchise. The movie is set for a worldwide release on November 16 and will hit Indian theatres on November 23.
