Richard Gere to star in indie film
Los Angeles: Hollywood star Richard Gere will reunite with the 'Arbitrage' producer Treehouse Pictures in an indie film.
The Golden Globe-winning actor, who was paired up with Julia Roberts in 'Pretty Woman' and 'Runaway Bride', is set to star in 'Franny', which is directed and penned by Andrew Renzi, reported Ace Showbiz.
Gere, 63, is cast as a hedonistic philanthropist, who ingratiates himself into the lives of a newlywed couple in order to re-create the life he once had.
The film will go on floors this October. No other information about the project is available as of now.
Gere's next film is 'Henry & Me', a pic about a young New York Yankees fan named Jack who is overcoming cancer.
