Jungle Book: Bill Murray is set to play Baloo
Bill Murray has been cast in the forthcoming remake of classic Disney film The Jungle Book. The comedy legend is to play Baloo, the loveable bear and friend of Mowgli.
It’s the perfect role for the Ghostbusters star, whose expressive voice is a good fit for Baloo’s wisdom and sense of humour. This remake of the 1967 animated favourite is directed by Jon Favreau - it will combine live action and CGI.
Bill Murray dropped a hint on his official Twitter account that they had found their ‘bear necessities’ by posting a picture from the original film and a message saying: “Looks like we cast our Baloo. So we have that going for us. Which is nice.”
Excitement is building for this new adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's novel, set to be released in October 2015. But what do we know about it?
