Shruti wins big!

Singer-actor Shruti Haasan is on cloud nine at the moment. She has managed to bag not one, but two awards in the last week. After winning the Best Debutant award at a recent awards function in Hyderabad, Shruti has gone onto win a bigger award at this recently concluded awards bash held in Dubai, during the last weekend.
Shruti has been bestowed with the honour of being the pride of South Indian cinema. A source tells us, "These awards that were held during the weekend in Dubai, saw Shruti winning the Pride of South Indian Cinema award. She is simply ecstatic. The award means a lot to her. Especially, since her contribution in the South Indian film industry is being recognised. She has started her career in South and today she has been given a prestigious international award."
The actor also gave the closing performance at the awards function. "Shruti is so happy and overjoyed that she is in the mood to celebrate now. She is now planning on staying back in Dubai for a week to celebrate her achievements, because once she's back in Mumbai, its back to work. She is now readying to take Bollywood by storm," the source further adds.
Shruti says she feels so blessed that her work has been appreciated. "These awards are very special to me. This is a huge motivation and I intend to keep working hard and make my fans happy with my movies. Also, waiting for my time to shine in Bollywood too."
