Srinath debuts with ‘Muthirai’
Srinath, an assistant to late Jeeva, turns director with ‘Muthirai’. The film is produced by Vision Jeeva Studios, the production house run by Anees Jeeva.
The director has surprised many by the choice of Yuvan Shankar Raja as the music director, as all Jeeva-films have had Harris Jeyaraj as the music director.
Jeeva, the cameraman-turned-director who had made films like ’12-B’, ‘Ullam Ketkumae’, had passed away mid-way through the shooting of ‘Dhaam Dhoom’ in Russia last year and Anees, his wife completed the film with the help of Jeeva’s aides.
Anees Jeeva pens the story and screenplay of ‘Muthirai’, starring Daniel Balaji, Lakshmi Rai, Nitin Satya and newcomer Manjari. Though the film’s story has politics as its backdrop, there won’t be anything controversial about it, Anees asserts.
Saravanan and Ponvannan play the politicians’ roles to perfection. Rakhi Sawant, the hottest item girl in India, has peformed a number for the film.
