The venture will be helmed by one of Murugadoss' assistants.
"Talks are on with the composer to play the hero because it's a musical subject and the producer is convinced that he will be apt for the role," a source told us.
"The cast and crew of the untitled film are yet to be disclosed. Once everything is finalised, an official launch will be made," added the source.
Meanwhile, Prakash, 25 is busy composing tunes for Tamil films 'Paradesi', 'Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum' and Anurag Kashyap's upcoming Hindi film 'Ugly'.
He also composed music for Hindi film 'Joker'.
This is not the first time a music composer is turning to acting. Recently, Vijay Anthony made his acting debut with Tamil film 'Naan' and has also signed his second project.
