The makers have rubbished every rumour about the possible postponement in the release of the film.

"Telugu action film 'Rebel' starring Prabhas, Tamannaah Bhatia and Deeksha Seth, and directed by Ragava Lawrence, will release worldwide on September 28," said a press release.

According to industry grapevine, it was speculated that the film release may be deferred due to Ganesha visarjan (immersion) on September 29 and Telangana bandh September 30.

'Rebel' is produced by J. Bhaghawan and J. Pulla Rao under Sri Balaji Cine Media banner.

Apart from direction, Ragava Lawrence has also handled choreography, screenplay and music direction for the film.

Actors Mukesh Rushi, Brahmanadam, Ali and M.S. Narayana will be seen in supporting roles, while veteran actor Krishnam Raju will be seen in an important role.

At the audio launch of the film on September 14, the director was all praises for Raju's role in particular.

The film's dialogues are penned by 'Darling' Swami, cinematography is by C. Ram Prasad and editing by Martand K. Venkatesh.
