Chennai: Known for shooting most of his films within Tamil Nadu, director Hari Gopalakrishnan has decided to travel abroad for the first time to shoot 'Singam 2'.
"Hari will shoot some songs and fight sequences from February third week in places like Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania and a few more places," a source from the film unit told IANS.
The film, which stars Suriya, Anushka Shetty and Hansika Motwani in the lead, recently completed its third schedule. It is the sequel to Tamil super hit 'Singam', which was later remade in Hindi as 'Singham' with Ajay Devgn in the lead.
"The third schedule of 'Singam 2' is done. Now, what remains are the overseas portions," Prabhu, producer of the film, tweeted.
First two schedules of 'Singam 2' were shot in places such as Chennai, Thoothukudi and Thirunelveli in Tamil Nadu, and Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh.
The film has music by Devi Sri Prasad, while Studio Green has produced it.
Southern actress Anjali has been roped in to groove to an item number in it.
