'Kaka' Radhakrishnan is no more

'Kaka' Radhakrishnan, an actor who is popular among five generations of film buffs, breathed his last in Chennai on Thursday. He was 86.


The veteran actor, who was credited with introducing legendary actor Sivaji Ganesan to his theatre group, also acted with him in the much-acclaimed 'Manohara', which had script by former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi.

Radhakrishnan acted in over 400 films in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. He was part of many acclaimed Kamal Haasan starring movies, including 'Guna', 'Thevar Magan' and later 'Vasool Raja'.

Radhakrishnan was married twice. He is survived by his two wives, eight children and 16 grandchildren.
