'Maattrraan' audio launch on August 9

The music of Tamil superstar Suriya's much awaited action thriller 'Maattrraan', will be launched on August 9 in Singapore.

'Maattrraan', which is expected to release in September, will see Suriya playing conjoined twins - Vimalan and Akilan.

The music has been composed by Harris Jayaraj. Reports suggest Sony Music acquired the music rights of 'Maattrraan' for a whopping Rs 1.2 crore.

After back-to-back hits in 'Ko' and 'Ayan', director K V Anand will wield the megaphone for 'Maattrraan'.

"Though rare, 1 in 1,00,000 babies in the world are conjoined twins. So, there are many, many babies and many, many stories to be told. My story is unique and these two people played by Suriya are also unique. Though joined, they are two different individuals," said director K V Anand in an interview with Rediff.

'Maattrraan' also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Sachin Khedekar, Thara and Ravi Prakash.
