Mohanlal to lead Kerala CCL team
Thiruvananthapuram: The new team of Mollywood actors for the next season of Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) has been announced.
Superstar Mohanlal will captain Amma-Kerala Strikers; while Indrajith will play as the vice-captain, team manager Idavela Babu said on Monday.
The Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) is a non-professional men's cricket league in India, contested by teams consisting of actors from various regional film industries of the country.
The league was commenced in 2011 on the model of Indian Premier League to showcase friendly cricket.
Teams of actors from Tamil, Telugu and Hindi also actively participate in the CCL.
Babu said the new members of Kerala Strikers include Arjun, Arun Benny, Madan Mohan, Santhosh Sleeba, Suresh, Rajeev Pillai, Nivin Poli, Vivek Gopan, Saiju Kurup, and Vinu Mohan.
Bhavana and Mamtha Mohandas would be team ambassadors, he said.
While Chandrasenan would be coach, Dileep Singh would be the physiotherapist, Babu added.
The inaugural march of third edition CCL would be held at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium in Kochi on February 9.
