"He is perfectly healthy and he visited hospital on Monday for a routine checkup," Johnson, the actor's agent, told us.
The 68-year-old actor is the father of Tamil actors Suriya and Karthi.
In a career spanning over three decades, Sivakumar acted in many Tamil films.
He won two Filmfare awards for the best actor for his performances in 'Rosaappo Ravikkai Kaari' and 'Vandichakaram'.
