"The deal will be finalised by next week," a source close to the 'Kumki' team told us.

Directed by Prabhu Solomon of 'Myna' fame, 'Kumki' has been produced by Thirrupathy Brothers and stars Vikram Prabhu, grandson of legendary actor Sivaji Ganesan and son of Prabhu.

Studio Green, a Tamil film production and distribution company, has lately shifted from producing films to promoting and distributing off beat quality cinema, especially with newcomers.

Recently, it distributed 'Attakathi', which was made on a budget of Rs.2.5 crore and garnered about Rs.4 crores in its first week in Tamil Nadu. The film is still running to packed houses.

Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan were present at the audio launch of 'Kumki', for which music has been composed by D. Imman.
