Sudeep was cast after watching ‘Rann’: Rajamouli

Recently the ace director Rajamouli himself answered this question when posed to him when he was in Bangalore for the press meet of 'Eega' which is scheduled to release in over 1200 centres in South India.

"The complexity of Sudeep's role is such that the character needs to be stylish, villanish, comical and serious. It is a very complex character and I wanted a performer to play the role. I was watching 'Rann' when I decided to cast him for that role because I was really blown away by his performance in the film. I needed him badly and called him for the role' says Rajamouli."

Rajamouli also adds that he was proud to be working with Sudeep. "At the end of my career, if someone asks me what have you done till now, I will proudly tell that I have worked with a fantastic actor like Sudeep. He is a bundle of talent. I wanted the whole of South India to see his talent. So, I casted him in the film", said Rajamouli.

Veteran music director M M Keeravani was also in big praise of Sudeep and said that he has become a fan of Sudeep. "I am a big fan of Kamal Hassan. But when I watched 'Rann' during the re-recording of the film, I was really bowled over by his performance and I have become a great fan of him. I hope to work more with him in the future" said Keeravani.
