TRS leaders, in their complaint with the Banjara Hills police station, alleged that Puri was creating division among people along regional and caste lines. They also accused him of instigating students and sought action against him.

The row over the Pawan Kalyan starrer is continuing despite the film producer deleting objectionable scenes as recommended by a panel constituted by the Andhra Pradesh government.

Film producer Dil Raju and director Jagannadh have appealed to the TRS to allow theatres to screen the movie as they had already deleted the objectionable scenes. However, the TRS is demanding a total ban on the film for allegedly belittling the movement for separate Telangana state.

TRS activists Friday attacked some theatres in Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana, forcing them to stop the screening of the film. They also attacked offices of the film producer and director in Hyderabad for allegedly showing leaders of Telangana movement in a poor light.

Telangana groups, seeking separate Telangana state, have accused filmmakers from Andhra region of hurting the sentiments of people by ridiculing the movement and their leaders.
