'Vadakumnathan' was an intense film requiring some compelling acting. Padmapriya plays Mira, a young college girl, who's in love with her cousin Bharat Pisharady, a highly intelligent but eccentric Sanskrit Professor. Her selfless and all pervasive devotion to this veritable scholar brings her way heartbreak, disappointment and relentless tribulations. Priya's uninhibited rendition, decorated with an array of interplaying emotions, won her many awards.
