'Perumazhakalm' saw two marvelous actresses, Kavya and Meera, sharing some quality screen space. They respectively played Ganga and Razia, two young women caught in unfortunate circumstances, at opposing ends, battling the helpless agony of heartbreak and despair. Kavya's intense and heartrending performance won her the state award for best actress.
