Current Bond Daniel Craig's gritty and emotional take on the character was something of a departure for the series, but he has won praise from none other than Roger Moore (who described him as the best actor to have ever played 007), and managed to send women around the world's hearts a-fluttering during the famous beach scene in Casino Royale - a film which marked a scintillating return to form.
