The legacy

Mohanlal has won two national awards and also has a special jury mention to go with it, while Mammootty has taken home the nation's most covered acting honor three times. They have both won the state honor more than a handful of times as well, but as with anyone who has helped shape the fortunes of an industry for so long, the achievements will, at best, be a footnote in their legacy.
