Penelope has also donated money to various charities across the world. She has done volunteer work in India and Uganda. She is particularly close to Mother Teresa's organisation and donated her whole salary form 'Hi-Lo country' to the mission. She started an organisation for homeless girls in India. She also works actively against substance abuse, AIDS and works with many organisations for rehabilitation of victims.
