Off the screen

Mohanlal makes for a fascinating psychological study; how often do you see an actor/star who finds it easier to shed his inhibitions on screen than off it? Lal is as magnetic on the big screen as he is ordinary off it. Always dropping that invisible curtain between him and the interviewer, the man makes for boring interviews. He also doesn't seem to care much for working the crowds and milking their affection when he attends public events. The best of the man, clearly, is saved for the fleeting moments between "action" and "cut."
