The Dark Knight (2008)

Though it was overshadowed somewhat by the death of Heath Ledger, whose iconic turn as the Clown Prince of Crime still sticks in the memory of moviegoers; The Dark Knight proved to be a high watermark for comic book movies at the multiplex.
