Few days ago, we had reported that ace stand-up comedian Raju Srivastav is making a special appearance on 'Taarak Mehta ka ooltah chashmah', now it's the turn of Rajeev Nigam to make an appearance in a TV show. Interestingly, Nigam has stepped into 'Maniben.com', the show that precedes 'Taarak Mehta...' on SAB. Accompanying Nigam is actor Ali Asgar, who too is now a regular feature in stand-up shows.
Talking about their track, Nigam says, "We play Ram and Shyam respectively. They are goons who commit the mistake of kidnapping Maniben. Not only do they fail to get any money but Ram and Shyam end learning moral lessons from Maniben and give up crime. This is a cameo for five episodes. "
Well, Maniben isn't drawing much attraction as compared to its early episodes. One of the reason for this downturn is the channel is having another Gujarati bumpkin in Dayaben (Taarak Mehta ka ooltah chashmah). Also, compared to Dayaben, Maniben is very loud.
"I don't know about comparisons or the show's ratings but mere kaa222bhi pak gaye listening to Maniben," said Nigam jokingly.
