Reportedly, a few days ago Tyagi had gone shopping when he came across an old man in tattered clothes, shivering and in distress. The actor couldn't see his plight and was so moved by his sorry state that he immediately decided to offer help.
The actor recalls, "While shopping I saw this old man who was struggling to breathe and I was shocked by the onlookers' apathy towards him. They were walking around ignoring him as if he simply didn't exist."
Tyagi resolved then and there to take the matters in his own hands and took the needy man to a nearby hospital in his car. "I decided to get him instant medical attention which seemed to be the want of the hour", says he. The actor also left him some money for his medication and hospital bills but when asked about the amount he shelled out, Sachal deterred, "I am really sorry as I won't comment on this. I don't want to sound cheap here. I helped the guy as I felt from my heart."
