Dipika Samson tipped to play the lead in Balaji show for Colors
A source says, "The Balaji show was to go on-air by April-end or start of May on Colors. It has started the casting process and if things go right, Dipika Samson will be seen playing the lead.
"The story of the show is somewhat on the lines of 'Ghar Ek Mandir' and 'Kumkum' but there will be a lot of changes. It is yet another Marathi background-based show which will have two Marathi families, one each of the hero and the heroine. This story was pitched to the channel before 'Bairi Piya' but since things did not go well that time and 'Bairi Piya' was brought on. But, this time it's back with a few changes.
"Sandeep Sikcand will be the creative director of the show which will be on prime time."
Dipika says, "I have auditioned for the show but I haven't got any confirmation from the production house."
Sikcand confirmed he will be creatively directing the show but refused to comment any further.
Balaji is also coming up with a show on Sony. A source says, "The show is story of a middle-aged couple, who meets on their siblings' wedding day and fall in love. Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar play the leads. The show is to go on-air by March-end or April start. It is to be directed by Swapna Waghmare Joshi."
We also hear that Balaji is planning shows for Imagine and Zee TV as well which will go on-air somewhere around June and September respectively.
