Deven Bhojani turns film director

Popular TV actor Deven Bhojani is all set to make his directorial debut in films with director-producer Vipul Shah

Mumbai: Deven Bhojani, better known by his screen name 'Gattu', will be making his directorial debut with a rom-com.

Deven was last seen on big screen as Azhar Lala, the mentally challenged son of Rauf Lala played by Rishi Kapoor in the 'Agneepath' remake.

Deven has already directed TV series 'Sarabhai V/s Sarabhai' which was a rage among the audience.

Director-producer Vipul Shah who gave Deven his first big role in television serial 'Ek Mahal Ho Sapno Ka' has brought him on board to direct a film.

The TV actor will be now be seen directing a completely fresh romantic comedy for Shah, a statement issued here said.

"If we go by the record, many successful Bollywood directors like Imtiaz Ali, Anurag Basu, Anand Rai hail from the TV industry. In fact, even Vipul Shah who is giving Deven a break is also from the TV industry. We are very happy to have him on board to direct his very first film," it added.
