Dheeraj delighted to be accepted as Prem
Mumbai: Dheeraj Dhoopar, who has replaced Shoib Ibrahim in TV show 'Sasural Simar Ka', says the biggest compliment he has got from people is that they feel Prem's character is still the same.
"Every character is a challenge for an actor. It's been a while now and the directors are helping me out. I am getting a positive response and I am quite happy. They even say that they don't feel that Prem has been replaced, which is the biggest compliment," Dheeraj told us.
Aired on Colors, the show is about two sisters who get married into the same family and all the drama that ensues thereafter.
"So far so good. I am loving and enjoying it. Prem is a popular character," said Dheeraj who has been part of shows like 'Maat Pitaah Ke Charnon Mein Swarg' and 'Kuch Toh Log Kahenge'.
It was reported that Shoib decided to quit the show because he was dissatisfied with his character's track.
But Dheeraj is not concerned.
"No comments about why he left it. I didn't follow the show before I joined it. I got to know from my family and friends that it's a good show. In terms of TRP also, the show is doing well," he said.
"When you do a show, you have to give your 100 percent," said Dheeraj who hopes that people would continue to love him.
