'Nautanki Saala' has a French connection?

This is the season of remakes and everyone seems to be taking pride in making them. Bollywood is certainly opening up to the idea of remakes, but are these just in vogue or are here to stay?
Recently, even the Bhatt's admitted to their inspiration for 'Murder 3' – a Spanish film.
So is the case of Rohan Sippy’s upcoming movie 'Nautanki Saala'. The movie, starring dimpled Ayushmann Khurrana and Kunal Roy Kapoor, is actually based on a French romcom – 'ApresVous' ('After You'). While 'After You' has a restaurant backdrop, 'Nautanki Saala's' plot revolves around theatre.
Reportedly, a lot of elements from the French inspiration are reflected in the film and the makers have given due credit to the original movie.
