Non-celebrity couple in 'Nach Baliye 5'
New Delhi: 'Nach Baliye' is latest to cash in on the "common-man factor" by introducing its 12th dancing pair from the public.
Under this initiative, celebrity couples of the show are travelling to various cities as part of "Talash-e-Baliye" and inviting dance aspirants to become a part of Star Plus's dance reality show.
The new couple will compete with the existing 11 celebrity couples from next month.
Reality TV couple Rahul Mahajan and Dimpy Ganguly were in the Capital to search for one such pair.
"We are looking for a jodi who enjoy dance and try to communicate with it. We are not looking for trained dancing couples. We are looking for couples who loves to dance. I hope, we come across some really good dancers here," said Rahul.
His wife Dimpy feels that this opportunity will give public a chance to know the celebrities in a personal way.
"Before getting married to Rahul, I was a commoner. I always used to think that how does it feel to be with a celeb. So, I feel it's just a good opportunity to share the screen with them on TV," she said.
Till now, the show has eleven couple from the small-screen and the dancing competition is being judged by actress Shilpa Shetty, choreographer Terence Lewis and filmmaker Sajid Khan.
Amitabh Bachchan hosted 'Kaun Banega Crorepati', another show on Star Plus, has been focusing on the talent from small towns of India.
Similarly, Salman Khan hosted reality show 'Bigg Boss' introduced a contestant from the public for its recently concluded sixth season.
