'Sur-kshetra' to simulcast on Colors, Sahara One

Directed by Gajendra Singh, the cross-border musical extravaganza shot in Dubai, will be hosted by Bollywood actress Ayesha Takia. It will have Indian and Pakistani singers competing against each other.
"Music has the unique ability to unify people and today, it has brought two channels together. Sur-Kshetra will mark Colors' foray into the singing genre non-fiction content segment and we are extremely excited about this new venture," Raj Nayak, CEO, Colors, said in a statement.
The team of Indian singers will be mentored by Himesh Reshammiya, while Pakistani singers will have Atif Aslam as their mentor.
The show's judging panel includes names like Asha Bhosle, Abida Parveen and Bangladeshi singer Runa Laila, who have made great contributions to the music industry.
"Music has always fostered a common and harmonious bond. With this legendary Indo-Pak musical grandeur, viewers from both the Nations and across the globe will witness a new generation of gifted singers from the two most melodious talent pools of the world. We are very excited about this strategic tie-up," said Suresh Mishra, assistant director worker, Sahara One.
The launch date of the show is yet to be announced.
