'Taarak Mehta...' cast to shoot abroad

Mumbai: The cast and crew of family comedy show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, which recently completed a successful run of a thousand episodes, might go abroad for a special shooting schedule.

"I am planning for a particular episode where the entire cast of Gokuldham are planning for a picnic abroad, and so we are planning to take the entire cast of 'Taarak Mehta...' somewhere abroad," show producer Asit Kumar Modi told IANS.

Asked which foreign location has been locked for the special shoot of the Sab TV, Modi said: "We will be shooting in a location where none of the serials have been shot before. It should be a visual treat and should look different than other shoots."

But viewers shouldn't expect to see the international shots anytime soon.

"It will take some time to execute it and we need to also look at the revenue that will be needed for the shoot," Modi said.

Earlier, some episodes of shows like ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ and ‘Bade Achche Lagte Hain’ were shot in foreign lands.
