‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ premiered on January 12, 2009 with Heena Khan as the female protagonist Akshara. The show is aired from Monday to Saturday on Star Plus.
"It is a happy occasion for all of us, for our whole team to complete 1,000 episodes, you know, to just listen that we have completed 1,000 episodes sounds awkward," Karan said.
"I would like to really thank the audience for all their love that they have been giving us for so many years, thank you so much," he added.
